Satellite images reported by the Washington Post and analyzed by the UK-based Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) appear to show North Korea secretly supplying Russia with military equipment and ammunition for the war in Ukraine, bypassing the sanctions that have been imposed. It is recalled that Vladimir Putin met not long ago with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, with information – despite denials – indicating that the catalyst for this meeting was the delivery of weapons from Pyongyang to Moscow. As the arms deal would violate sanctions, the US has warned it will take action if the two sides go ahead with such cooperation.
