Is Sony already shipping PlayStation 5 Pro to developers? Deliveries of some prototypes suggest exactly this.

The Sony PlayStation 5 has been on the market for about a year and a half. At the same time, the deficit remains, and now there are much more people who want to buy a set-top box than the set-top boxes themselves. However, this does not mean at all that Sony is not working on the next model.

Is Sony already shipping PlayStation 5 Pro to developers? Deliveries of some prototypes suggest exactly this.

According to the source, import reports indicate that Sony Interactive Entertainment has shipped thousands of boxes of development kits to the US over the past few months. Most of the deliveries were from Japan and South Korea. Other listings show that Sony exported a batch labeled “video game console (prototype)” from the UK to the US last November.

The latter is particularly interesting, since it is unlikely that Sony now has any prototypes of the current PS5, which for some reason need to be supplied in large quantities. Thus, it is assumed that these are PS5 Pro or PS5 Slim prototypes. True, we can only talk about the PS VR 2 headset, which should just hit the market this year.

If these are still PS5 Pro or Slim prototypes, we will probably see leaks regarding these consoles in the near future.
