Is there life out there? Scientists have discovered a “super-earth” planet that may have the right conditions

One of the biggest unanswered questions in science remains: there are aliens, and if so, where are they hiding? Researchers may have taken a huge step towards answering the question as they identified a “super-earth” planet that may be habitable, using NASA’s Tess Space Telescope, according to Dailymail. The planet, named L 98-59 F, is one of the five… worlds that revolve around a red dwarf star named L 98-59, which is 35 light-years away from Earth. However, L 98-59 F is the only one with the right conditions to support life. “The discovery of a temperate planet in such a solid system makes this finding a particularly exciting finding,” said Charles Kadieu, chief author of the study. “It highlights the notable variety of exoplanic systems and enhances the importance of studying potentially habitable worlds around low mass stars.” The star L 98-59 was discovered in 2019 and was initially confirmed to have four planets.
