Nvidia’s next graphics architectures will be Ada Lovelace and Hopper. The first will be focused on games, and the second – on the data center. Although there have been rumors that the older Hopper GPUs could be used for top-end GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards if Lovelace is not powerful enough to compete with RDNA 3.

Be that as it may, from Nvidia materials stolen by hackers, it became known that after Lovelace and Hopper, the Blackwell architecture may come out. It is named after David Blackwell, professor of statistics and one of the authors of the Rao-Blackwell-Kolmogorov theorem.

The source is inclined to believe that the Blackwell architecture will be the successor to Hopper, that is, the corresponding GPUs will be used for the data center. However, this is only an assumption so far, so GeForce RTX 50 video cards may well be created on the Blackwell GPU. For now, we can say for sure that two GPUs of this generation appear in the documents: GB100 and GB102. If this architecture is still intended for gaming cards, then the second GPU can be used to create the GeForce RTX 5090 Ti.
