Ischia, Marta Maria Ohryzko’s partner arrested, found dead in the embankment

Was Marta Maria Ohryzko’s partner arrestedthe 33-year-old woman, originally from Lviv, found dead on Sunday morning in a cliff, on the island of Ischiain the Vatoliere area, in the municipality of Barano.

Ilia Batrakov, a Russian, known as Emiliano, 41 years old, knew that the woman he was living with had fallen into the ravinenot far from where they lived: the two wrote to each other on Whatsapp and also spoke for five minutes on the phone. Marta begged him to help her, but he he did not intervene, and the woman, evidently injured during the fall, died alone, after a long agony.

From the second of the two interrogations to which he was subjected, it appears that, during the night, the man had finally looked for his partner and that, finding her still alive in the ravine, he told her to stay and sleep there. Ilia Batrakov himself, accused of mistreatment, told the police this.

The first examinations on the body have shown several lesions, which seem to have been caused by the beatings received by the woman, who had gone to hospital twice in the past. the first in July 2022, with bruises due to punches to the face, and the second some time later, for second-degree burns (the partner would have set fire to her clothes). Ilia Batrakov was jealous and obsessive, and often violent, but Marta Maria Ohryzko did not have the courage to report him. In his outbursts of anger, the man also railed against his partner’s origins. In some messages he wrote her sentences like: “Ukrainian s… who must die.”

The woman, who had ended up drinking uncontrollably, was being treated at the mental health center in Ischia. Saturday, yet another clash. Neighbors report violent and continuous argumentsand we have long feared a tragic ending.

The autopsy, which will be performed at the II Policlinico in Naples, will clarify other dark aspects of the affair. The validation of Ilia Batrakov’s arrest is expected in these hours.
