Islamic State claims responsibility for pylon blast that plunged Kabul into darkness

The Islamic State in Khorasan (IKH), took responsibility for strong explosion occurred on a high voltage line that sank the Kabul in the dark on Thursday (22/10) night. With an announcement posted on her channel at Telegram, the jihadist group said “caliphate soldiers detonated a bomb at an electricity pylon in Kabul” on Thursday to damage the electricity grid.

Its capital Afghanistan sank in the dark on Thursday night after an explosion hit a high voltage line. The National Electricity Company said an explosion “destroyed an electricity pylon in the Kuala Murad Beg district of Kabul and cut off a 220 kV transmission line, cutting off electricity to some parts of Kabul.”
