The design company describes the project as “an oasis in the sky” that emerges from the lake as a tower composed of stacked botanical gardens.
“Each island acts as a platform with thermal pools, decks and lush vegetation, both in internal and external environments. Each has a unique atmosphere and is oriented towards the dramatic view of Dubai’s Skyline, ”explained Elizabeth Diller, DS+R’s founding partner.
“Visitors will be involved in different sensations – heat and freshness, dry and damp, the intense heat of saunas and vapor rooms contrasting with cold mineral pools. During the day, the environment is relaxing and contemplative. At night, he comes to life with music, artistic performances and events. ”
THERME states that the resort will recycle 90% of the water used in its thermal pools, in addition to supplying 80% of fresh air needs and cooling with clean energy sources .
Construction is scheduled to start in 2026, with estimated conclusion for 2028.
