Island of the famous 2022, the final: the favorites to win and everything you need to know

The countdown has officially begun: the final episode of the 2022 edition (the longest ever) de The Island of the Famous airs on Canale 5 on Monday 27 June. The long-lived reality show hosted by Ilary Blasi boasts a duration of over four months during which the castaways challenged each other in Honduras in all kinds of tests.

The favorite for the winner’s scepter is Nicolas Vaporidis, the first finalist so far loved by the public for his frankness and the only presence from the first episode of March (together with Carmen Di Pietro). After Edoardo Tavassi’s knee injury, he will have to contend with five fierce competitors: Luca Daffrè, Maria Laura De Vitis, Mercedesz Henger, Carmen Di Pietro and Nick Luciani.

Before grabbing the coveted $ 100,000 prize pool, competitors will have to overcome the last few obstacles, as well as the pitfalls of commentators in the studio Vladimir Luxuria and Nicola Savino. As always, the correspondent on the beach, Alvin, will act as a bridge with the Italian studio. The castaways are now one step away from victory and yet they think of something else, not without irony. For instance Maria Laura asked for one last meal, possibly pizza and fries, for the final dinner of this adventure to say the least. Carmen Di Pietro would be fine with anything, but wouldn’t mind a nice plate of meatballs.

The spirit is quite high, as shown by some funny curtains, including the dance unleashed on the notes of The waltz of the gnatone of the cult songs of Lo Zecchino d’oro. In the past few hours Lory Del Santo got her fans talking after having posted on Instagram a cover made after the victory of the 2005 edition of the famous Island conducted by Simona Ventura. “How many good memories – writes the showgirl – never forget beautiful things and great emotions”. Many have read of the sarcasm towards the current edition, from which she has seen herself excluded after returning home due to the nomination.

The soubrette had already shown her disappointment in the past: after nine years she dumped her boyfriend Marco Cucolo, guilty of not having defended it from the other castaways. Meanwhile, she found herself at the center of a funny curtain on Twitter: she posted self-congratulations as if they came from fans and so the most mischievous deduced that she had more fake profiles from which she praised her own praises. When they pointed this out to her she confessed that it was a mistake by a friend who inadvertently relayed the words of the fans without her knowing anything.
