Isola dei Famosi 2022: Nicolas Vaporidis wins (and we couldn’t ask for more)

The verdict came just before half past one in the morning, when it was clear that to win theIsland of the Famous 2022 he would have been the one who, for better or for worse, has always managed to be himself by telling the truth and dismantling the strategies to carry out, from the first to the last, a somewhat unprecedented coherence for a reality show. Let’s talk about Nicolas Vaporidisthe actor now a symbol of Italian maturity thanks to the role of Luca Molinari in the film Night before exams which, atIsland of the Famous, managed to triumph with the Bulgarian share of 87% of the votes, easily defeating Luca Daffrè, runner-up ahead of Carmen Di Pietro, on whom more than someone had bet for the victory. “L’Island it was not a rematch but a challenge, an experience that if I hadn’t done it I would have regretted it. I was afraid. Five or ten years ago I would not have been able to do it: I would have gone mad. At forty I followed a path that helped me to be what I already was “, said Vaporidis shortly before Ilary Blasi closed the televoting and invested it remotely – that of 2022 was, in fact, the first final played not in Italian television studios but directly in Honduras – of a trophy that the presenter herself defined as “the ugliest ever”.

Beyond the duration monstre which, at one point, discouraged even the most loyal spectators – to get in the way, however, were also the numerous programming changes in the last month -, L’Island of the Famous 2022 managed to shine thanks to a well-tested team, to two commentators – Nicola Savino and Vladimir Luxuria – who we would like to see in all the reality shows made in Mediaset, and to a presenter – Ilary Blasi – who in just two editions managed to sew on the program as if he had always conducted it. The idea, then, of recalling old glories such as Carmen Di Pietro and Lory Del Santo proved to be a winning one both for having created a sort of ideal bridge between theIsland del Biscione andIsland Rai, both for giving new light to characters who managed to remain etched in the hearts and minds of the spectators unlike the many meteors that fell on television only to disappear in a very short time – you remember, by chance, Bosco Cobos ?.

To this edition – the longest ever – the merit of having guessed the right formula and of having rewarded a character, Nicolas Vaporidis, who it took years to break away from the role of Luca Molinari despite a film career certainly not of the second league and that, precisely atIsland of the Famous, he made himself known for what he is, demonstrating the stubbornness and fragility of a man who, over time, managed to lower his defenses and be completely himself. Also revealing some more details about his private life. We are talking about the girlfriend Ali that Vaporodis has long tried to protect from the intrusiveness of the press and gossip only to give in and reveal her existence. At this point all that remains is to hope that Vaporidis, in addition to cinema – his last role was in Bla Bla Baby of his friend Fausto Brizzi – allow himself a few more television incursions: some trains, on the other hand, it is good to take them when they are still at the station and do not whiz towards unexplored destinations.
