Israel: 500 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours

 

The Israel announced yesterday Monday that the previous 24 hours were diagnosed 500 cases of SARS-CoV-2, with all the people infected with the new coronavirus to reach 843,390.

The number of so-called active cases rose to 2,766, the highest level since April 15. The number of patients treated in a serious condition increased to 35 (+1).

The pandemic toll remains unchanged 6,429 dead.

The number of Israeli citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 has exceeded 5.65 million, or 60.6% of the population, transmits AMPE.

Earlier yesterday Ministry of Health noted that the effectiveness of their vaccine Pfizer/BioNTech in terms of preventing infection fell to 64% between 6 June and 3 July due to the spread of the much more contagious Delta mutation. It stood at 94.3% between May 2 and June 5. However, the Ministry of Health added that the effectiveness of the Pfizer / BioNTech drug in preventing hospital admissions, severe forms of the disease and mortality is estimated at 93%.
