Israel asks France to review the Palestinian State recognition plan

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar urged Paris to revise the Palestinian State Recognition Plan at the UN General Assembly, informing the leader of French diplomat Jean-Noel Baro that French President Emmanuel Macron will not be happy. During the telephone communication of the two ministers, Saar asked Baros “to revise France’s initiative to recognize a Palestinian state”, stressing that “it undermines stability in the Middle East and harm Israel’s interests”, as the Foreign Ministry said. “Israel is seeking good relations with France, but France must respect Israel’s position when it comes to substantial issues for its security and future,” Gideon Saar said.
