Israel is agreeing to concessions on the return of Palestinians to the northern part of the enclave in Egypt's talks on a ceasefire in the Gaza war, although it believes that the Islamist group Hamas does not want a deal, Israeli officials said today as reported the APE – BEE. According to two officials with knowledge of the talks, under the US proposal for a truce, Israel would allow the return of 150,000 Palestinians to northern Gaza without security checks. In return, the officials said, Hamas must provide a list of hostages — women, the elderly and the sick — it still holds who are still alive.
