The Israel does not seek to open another front, as the war is directed exclusively against Hamas, Defense Minister Yoav Gallad assured today, adding that it will not be long before the ground attack on the Gaza Strip begins.
“We are waging war against Hamas on the southern front, while we are ready for any eventuality in the north, where Hezbollah is suffering heavy losses. However, we do not seek the spread of war,” Galland told reporters when asked about the possibility of Israel clashing with Iran.
Regarding the Israeli army’s ground attack on Gaza Stripthe defense minister said that “that day is not far off … the operation will begin when the conditions are right.”

Israel today called on Russia to expel the Hamas delegation visiting Moscow, saying its invitation to the Russian capital was “regrettable”.
“Hamas is a terrorist organization worse than the Islamic State. The hands of senior Hamas officials have the blood of more than 1,400 Israelis massacred, murdered, executed and burned. (Hamas operatives) are responsible for the abduction of more than 220 Israelis, including infants, children, women and the elderly,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
