Israel-Hamas war: Survivors of Nova festival massacre seek healing in Cyprus

People who survived the massacre at festival Nova caused by Hamas on October 7 travel to Cyprusin order to undergo treatments, mainly for their mental health.

In accordance with abcnews.go.com, some of the treatments include breathing techniques and conversations. Daily sessions are complemented by yoga, meditation, reflexology, massage and acupuncture.

Also, the rabbi Arie Zeev Raskinwho heads Cyprus’s small Jewish community, said Cyprus’ close proximity to Israel and cheap air connections make it an ideal destination for someone to travel to for healing to overcome their trauma.

The trips to Cyprus are sponsored by NovaHelp, a group of mental health professionals who came together to help rave party survivors. Financial support is provided by other charities and private businesses, including major accounting firms and Jewish American groups.

In addition, Israelis who lost their families to the attack of the armed Palestinian organization also travel to Cyprus for treatment.
