Israel has confirmed that negotiations with Hamas will be repeated Monday in Washington

Israel has confirmed today in a statement that indirect negotiations with the Islamist Palestinian Movement for the second phase of their truce agreement will be repeated, as it was foreseen, on Monday in Washington. Netanyahu and Steve Whitkov, Donald Trump’s special envoy in the Middle East, spoke today and agreed that discussions would begin “during their meeting on Monday in Washington”, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office. The American envoy will then discuss with Qatar’s prime minister and high -ranking Egyptian officials this week, he added in the statement.
