THE Pedro Sanchez assured that “the Israel is a friend of Spain,” but clarified that he strongly disagrees with the “intolerable death of civilians in Gauze“, which is done under the pretext of exterminating Hamas.
In a post he made on the X platform, he gave his own answer after the rebuke of the Jewish state to the Spanish ambassadorbecause the Spanish Prime Minister criticized the way the military operations in Gaza are being conducted.
Thus, Sanchez stated that “Israel is an ally, a friend of Spain“, during a telephone conversation with the former defense minister and current member of Israel’s war council Benny Gantz.
“Once more, I condemned the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas“, continued the Spanish Prime Minister, according to which “Israel has the right of self-defense”.
“However, I reiterate that Spain considers the death of civilians in Gaza intolerable and that Israel must respect international humanitarian law“, concluded.
It is noted that Pedro Sanchez had stated, on Spain’s state television network, that he had “serious doubts” about Israel’s respect for international law, given “the ever-increasing number of people dying, especially little boys and girls” in Gauze.
