Israel: Protest against vaccination outside the prime minister’s house

Dozens of Israelis have staged a protest against the vaccination and the so-called “green certificate” outside the home of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, police spokesman Michael Zingerman said.

The demonstration took place in the city of Ranaana, north of Tel Aviv. Bennett chose to stay in his private residence in this city and not move to the official residence of the Prime Minister in Jerusalem.

The so-called “green certificate” allows vaccinated Israelis or those who have recovered from Covid-19 to enter certain areas.

In an effort to intensify vaccination due to the spread of the Omicron variant, the government has imposed travel restrictions and barred foreigners from entering the country until December 29th.
