Earlier, the Palestinian group Hamas said it had fired a 250-kilogram rocket at Ramon Airport near the Red Sea resort of Eilat and called on airlines to “suspend” all flights to the Jewish state.
Israel diverted some flights to Ramon Airport from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport due to the security situation.
