Israeli warplanes struck Gaza after firing rockets today, hours after US President Joe Biden flew from Israel to Saudi Arabia as part of his Middle East tour.
Israel’s military said it struck a rocket-making facility in central Gaza run by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas. According to eyewitnesses, the facilities are being used as a training camp.
Sirens sounded in southern Israel on two occasions early today, warning residents of an imminent rocket attack. One missile was intercepted and three fell in open areas, according to the military. No organization has claimed responsibility for the launches.
