The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it hit several Hezbollah military posts in Lebanon in attacks on Monday night (23).
They said they attacked a military compound, a military post and an observation post in southern Lebanon used by the extremist group.
“The strikes were conducted in response to rocket and anti-tank missile launches from Lebanese territory today,” the IDF said.
Hezbollah military media outlet Al Manar reported that attacks were carried out in open areas in Kafr Kila, Aitaroun and East Wazzani.
Al Manar also reported that Hezbollah fighters were targeting “sites of Israeli occupation” on the border with Lebanon.
A team from CNN in Lebanon heard IDF attacks being carried out.
Before the IDF’s most recent strikes, Al Manar reported that four Hezbollah fighters had died on Monday.
