Israeli fighter jets killed a Hamas commander involved in last weekend’s offensive during an attack on a headquarters used by the radical Islamic group’s fighters on Friday (13), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday. (14).
“During the attack, IDF fighters killed Merad Abu Merad, who was the head of the Hamas Air System in Gaza City and was largely responsible for directing the terrorists during Saturday’s massacre,” highlighted the defense forces.

The IDF also noted that its fighter jets carried out large-scale attacks across the Gaza Strip on Friday, against dozens of Hamas targets and “Nukhba” agents, who were one of the main forces that breached the border perimeter and led the invasion in Israel.
The Hamas-run Interior Ministry confirmed that airstrikes hit several areas of Gaza on Friday and Saturday morning.
Among the affected areas are the Al Nuseirat refugee camp, regions in northern Gaza and Al Shanti, in western Gaza, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
Naval bombardments were also reported along the west coast and west of the Khan Younis area.
