Israeli security forces killed a Palestinian this morning who attacked Israeli police with a knife in the old city of Jerusalem, in the eastern part of the city.
The perpetrator, a 19-year-old Palestinian from occupied East Jerusalem, pointed at two police officers at the gate of the old city, “pulled out a knife and attacked one of them,” an Israeli police spokesman said. Other police officers close to the scene “responded by firing on him and neutralizing the terrorist”.
The two Israeli policemen were slightly injured, police said, one from the knife attack and the other from the police fire.
