Israel: Two dead and dozens injured after a synagogue platform collapses near Jerusalem

Two people were killed and at least 60 were injured today, 10 of them seriously, when, according to timesofisrael.com, a platform with seats collapsed in a synagogue full of worshipers in Givat Zeev, an Israeli settlement near Jerusalem, according to Israeli rescue services. .

Hundreds of pilgrims had gathered there to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Savoy (Pentecost) at this synagogue when the podium fell under their feet. According to a representative of the rescue services, the structure was “under construction”.
