Israeli air strike against Syrian air defense positions

Israeli warplanes launched an early Sunday raid against Syrian air defense positions from which the missile that exploded earlier over the southern is believed to have been launched. IsraelLt. Col. Avihai Andrai, spokesman for the Israeli army, announced today.

Fragments of an S-200 missile fell in the Rahat area (south), about 180 kilometers away from the border with Syria, according to the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
