Israeli Minister gave guarantees that Brazilians will leave Gaza by Wednesday, says Vieira

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, stated, this Friday (3), that the Israeli Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, gave guarantees that Brazilians will leave the Gaza Strip by next Wednesday (8).

The 34 Brazilians were not on the third list of foreigners authorized to leave Gaza that was released today. In total, 571 people were released, of which 367 were Americans and 127 were British.

“He gave me guarantees that by Wednesday all Brazilians who are in Gaza will be able to leave through the Rafah crossing. And, therefore, they will have access already provided by the Brazilian embassies, both in Ramallah and in Egypt, to the airport where the Brazilian Air Force plane is located that will bring them to Brazil”, said Vieira, who also mentioned that a anticipation.

“This was a negotiation process that lasted a few days and today I had this good news given by a high-ranking official from the Israeli government,” he continued.

Still according to the Brazilian chancellor, the negotiations also include the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry.

“He told me that from the Egyptian government all priority is being given. As soon as the documentation is released at the Rafah crossing, the 34 Brazilians will pass through and will have all the support to proceed to the airport and board straight for Brazil”, he explained.
