An Israeli soldier was freed from captivity by the radical Islamic group Hamas in the Gaza Strip during a ground military operation. The information was released by Israeli forces this Monday (30).
The military said the soldier, named Ori Megidish, had been kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7 terrorist attacks.
“Overnight, Ori Megidish was freed during IDF ground operations,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.
The Army said she had already undergone medical examinations and was “doing well”.
“The soldier was clinically examined, is well and met with her family,” says the text.
No details were given about the circumstances of his release.
