Israeli: The Visa of the Director of the UN Humanitarian Affairs Office will not be renewed

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that he ordered the visa of the UN Humanitarian Office of the United Nations Office (OCHA) not to be renewed. The latter lives in Jerusalem and visits the Gaza Strip regularly. He has repeatedly denounced the humanitarian conditions in the besieged Palestinian enclave. In April he had stated that the residents of Gaza were “late”. Saar, in his post on the X platform, denounced the “hostile and biased behavior (of Witol) towards Israel, who distorts reality, presents falsified references, slanders Israel and violates UN rules”. Since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, Israel has made it more difficult to issue a visa visa for UN executives working in the enclave, especially for Ocha members, the High Commissioner for Human Rights and UNRWA, the Relief Service and Works for Palestinians. Israel claims that members of Hamas had penetrated Unrwa. Source: RES
