martin lawrence 59, and Will Smith 55, returned to theaters on Thursday (6) as detectives Marcus and Mike in “Bad Boys: All the Way” . Friends for decades, the duo star in the fourth film in the franchise, which began in 1995.
“The great success of this franchise is that they love being on screen together. They love being in confrontation with the bad guys and having fights among themselves. It’s a real joy for them,” said producer Jerry Bruckenheimer.
In an interview, the actor from “A Very Suspicious Cop” and “Vovó… Zona” praised the Oscar winner: “He brings out the best in everyone around him. He’s like a famous athlete who elevates the performance of his teammates – everyone knows that when they’re working with Will, they need to be at their best.”
Smith returns the compliment: “Martin’s comedy is unique because he makes you fall in love with him as you laugh with him. “He’s vulnerable and finds a way to make it hilarious.”
In the fourth film, detectives Marcus and Mike enter the FBI’s most wanted list and must stop a plan to clear their names. Watch behind-the-scenes video of the plot.
In addition to Smith and Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens , Alexander Ludwig , Paola Nuñez , Eric Dane , Ioan Gruffudd and more make up the cast. It is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who were also responsible for “Bad Boys: Forever” (2020).
