At the same time, EDEY has set the goal of conducting new seismic surveys in the region of Crete, which is of great research interest, next winter 2022 – 2023.
In any case, there is no information on the content of the announcements that will be made by the concessionaire company. However, the fact that one of the two companies intends to respond immediately to the Greek government’s call for speeding up and intensifying investigations is interpreted as a rather negative indication.
It is worth noting that in the event that from the contacts and discussions that will take place with both Total and ExxonMobil any problem or reluctance of any of them arises, EDEY declares its readiness to find and discuss with another market player.
In this direction, after all, discussions have already begun with potential new stakeholders, without, however, EDEY wanting to reveal the names of possible new suitors. In any case, the goal of EDEY is to conduct seismic surveys this winter.
