The shootout between police and criminals in the Israel Complex region that left three people dead and three other injuries in Rio de Janeiro, this Thursday morning (24), “it was not a mistake, but a necessary action”, said Claudia Moraes, Lieutenant Colonel of the state’s Military Police.

“We were in a scenario where we had a vehicle from the Expressway Police Battalion (BPVE) shot with more than 20 shots, a situation in which these criminals reacted by shooting at heavily trafficked public roads,” concluded Claudia.
