‘It would make me sick’: Hillary Clinton can’t imagine Trump winning

She was a senator, first lady, secretary of state, successful author, but above all an unsuccessful presidential candidate in 2016 against Donald Trump. Today, Hillary Clinton is a podcaster. In September, she launched her show called You and me together with Hillary Clinton on the Apple platform and has just answered questions from journalist Kara Swisher, who hosts one of the main podcast shows of the New York Times.

Posted on Monday, September 26, eight days before the election, the episode will not fail to be talked about: the positions of Hillary Clinton on her defeat – which she still finds it difficult to accept – and on Donald Trump’s policy is the subject of controversy each time. But it takes more, obviously, to discourage her. The former candidate responds without language and even lends itself to the game of predictions. The predictions had not brought him luck four years ago… At the time, she too was at the top of the polls and she was promised the White House and the role of the first woman president of the United States. The defeat was all the more bitter, she admits.

I think a lot of voters are not going to be fooled again.

“I was convinced to win four years ago. Like everyone. I know people think about it today and say we weren’t that sure. But we were definitely winning… ”

This year, she cannot imagine Donald Trump doing it again. “I think it worked with me because it was the first time. “Cheat on me once, shame on you, cheat on me twice, shame on me.” And I think a lot of voters are not going to be fooled again. ”

Relaunched by the journalist on this daring and potentially embarrassing prognosis for Joe Biden’s campaign, she specifies: “What I mean is that I cannot imagine the idea that he wins. […] It would cause cognitive dissonance of a severe degree. […] It would literally make me sick to consider four more years like this. ”

She says she is happy to see the end of the Trump era come to an end and, according to her, many Republicans are also eager to turn the page after her defeat. “They want to see it disappear as much as we do. According to her, the Democrats will also take the opportunity to regain the majority in the Senate.

“Reptilian”

Since her defeat four years ago, the candidate has found that she has become the most hated personality in part of the country. Since 2017, she has even been the central figure in the QAnon conspiracy thesis, which makes her the instigator of a global pedophilia network. The movement has grown to such an extent that some of its supporters are favorites to sit in the future Congress. And that’s not the worst, dozens of bizarre theories revolve around him. “Some even think that I am a reptilian and that I have killed countless people …”

Now retired from political life, she says she is raising a lot of money for Joe Biden, but she says she does not claim any position in a future Democratic administration and does not want “real work”. She is satisfied with her role of podcaster and gives the name of a few personalities that she would like to interview in her future programs: German Chancellor Angela Merkel and New Zealand Prime Minister just brilliantly re-elected Jacinda Ardern.

Journalist Kara Swisher wishes her to make her nest in the podcast world and suggests a distinguished guest for a future episode: Donald Trump. “No, never,” Hillary Clinton snaps. “I never will. I like to talk with people who interest me and whom I admire and I find him neither interesting nor admirable. ”
