Italy: Amazon employees strike to demand better working conditions

Amazon announced Wednesday that it will open a new distribution center in Civindate al Piano in Italy by the autumn, creating 900 jobs and bringing the total number of its employees in the country to 10,400.

In 2020, Amazon hired 2,600 employees in Italy, while it announced that it has invested more than 5.8 billion euros since its arrival in the country ten years ago.
