Italy and Ukraine sent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

Italy sent food and medical equipment to the Gaza Strip in a humanitarian flight that landed in Jordan, as part of Rome’s “Food for Gaza” initiative which aims to help civilians in the Palestinian enclave. The aid includes more than 60 tonnes of food, hygiene kits and sanitary equipment as well as 150 tents. The flight, which departed from Printez, landed in Amman from where the material will be transferred to Gaza. “With this operation we demonstrate in a tangible way the attention that the Italian government is paying to the humanitarian situation in the Strip,” said Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
