According to the special commissioner for dealing with the pandemic in Italy, General Francesco Filiuolo, the administration of the fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine to the vulnerable categories in the country is expected to begin on March 1.

“Two years have passed since the outbreak of the pandemic. It is easy to turn someone into a cicada, but we must – symbolically – fill the warehouses with grain, when the times get tough. We hope that nothing negative will happen, but it is absolutely necessary. “to keep some valuable lessons from this period,” Filiuolo added.

At the same time, General Filioolo added that the Novavax vaccine will arrive in Italy by the end of this week. Approximately 1 million doses are to be distributed in all regions of the country. Another 2 million doses of the vaccine will be delivered to Italy in March.

The commissioner for the pandemic stressed that 89% of the country’s population has received two doses of anti-coronavirus drugs and that if we add the cured and those who have done the first dose, the percentage exceeds 94%. Today, the number of coronavirus cases in Italy is 24,408, with 201 deaths.
