Italy free of coronavirus: End to precautionary measures and bans

It has been in a state of emergency since 31 January 2020 Italy because of the coronavirus and this now ends with a decision of the government of Mario Draghi.

As of today, a series of precautionary measures and prohibitions cease to apply: the “green fold” is no longer needed for public access to public services, banks, hotels, post offices and hairdressers. The same applies to the entry of citizens in shopping malls and shops.

No need any kind of certificate so that one can sit at the tables of restaurants and cafes in open spaces. In urban transport the vaccinated pass is no longer necessary, however use is required mask.

What about the mask

Citizens will need to wear a mask until April 30 and have a vaccination certificate to be able to watch theatrical performances and movie screenings indoors. The vaccination certificate remains mandatory to go to weddings, celebrations, birthdays, discos, clubs.

As far as indoor sports facilities are concerned, the pass remains in force, while stadiums and other open facilities will be allowed to enter with a negative diagnostic test, says the correspondent of the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency.

What about quarantine?

From today in all workplaces employees can enter with vaccination certificate and simple test. This change also applies to citizens over the age of 50, for whom vaccination was mandatory. From now on, it will be enough to wear a surgical mask in the workplace.

Until the end of the year, the mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 remains in force for employees in hospitals and nursing homes.

The rules are also changing with regard to quarantine: only those who test positive for SARS-CoV-2 will be isolated. Anyone who comes in contact with a case should wear a high protection mask for ten days and get tested for symptoms.
