As stipulated by the relevant decision of the Draghi government, from today the Italians are no longer obliged to wear protective masks indoors, except for certain exceptions.
More specifically, masks are no longer needed in all businesses, including cafes and restaurants. The same goes for workplaces, but the recommendation “to cover the mouth and nose” remains. However, it has been possible to implement stricter measures, provided that there is an agreement between employers and trade unions.
In schools, on the other hand, as in cinemas, theaters, sports venues, public transport and hospitals, the measure of wearing a protective mask continues to apply.
“A new phase is beginning, but we must remain realistic. The doctors are right, reminding us that this battle is not over yet. That is why keeping the mask in schools until the end of the year is a necessary precautionary measure “, said the Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.
