Italy: high-speed train starts connecting Rome and Milan in less than 3 hours

A route between rome and milan just got faster. Since January 23, it is possible to travel between the two Italian cities in just 2:45 am through a high-speed train that reaches 400 km/h.

The route is made in Frecciarossa 1000 a train operated by Trenitalia, the main Italian railway company and part of the state-owned group Ferrovie dello Stato.

According to the company’s website, the trains in the category have eight wagons and are 202 meters long. They are equipped with air conditioning, internet access, onboard entertainment and screens in all cars.

There are four classes in all: executive, business, premium and standard. Business class is the most expensive and has only 10 seats, which are positioned one and a half meters apart and rotate 180°.

The space also has a work area with tables and chairs and a food service where the passenger can choose from three different menus including snacks, main course and dessert.

Ticket prices may vary according to the date, but a search on the company’s website for the month of February points out that there are cheap tickets between €29.90 and €78.90 (about R$166 and R$438 at current prices). ) on the Rome-Milan connection.

The most expensive tickets in business class are €245, around R$1,361.

Schedules and other connections
