Italy recorded more than 141,000 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours (in particular 141,242 new coronavirus infections), down from 144,243 on Friday, according to Reuters.
Deaths were also reduced from 155 on Friday, as there were 111 young people, based on official data from the Ministry of Health.
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 (excluding those in the intensive care unit) was 11,265 on Saturday, up from 11,150 a day earlier.
There were 135 new admissions to intensive care units, up from 119 on Friday. The total number of patients admitted to the intensive care unit increased to 1,297 from 1,260.
About 1.08 million more coronavirus tests were performed, compared to 1.22 million the previous day, the health ministry said.
