Italy’s right-wing parties, including the ruling coalition, have warned that “thousands of illegal immigrants are arriving in Italy”, with party leader and former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini calling for an urgent meeting on Sunday. .

Salvini explained that he was already in contact with Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgeze.
