Italy: New measures to reduce coronavirus cases

The cabinet of the Draghi government, at its meeting tonight, approved the new measures aimed at reducing as much as possible the new cases of coronavirus.

More specifically, based on the decisions taken, the duration of the green vaccinated pass is reduced from 9 to 6 months, while until March 31 it is decided to use a mask in all open spaces.

Enhanced protection masks – Ffp2 – will be mandatory for access to museums, cinemas, theaters, live music shops and all modes of transport.

At the same time, always until March 31, all coffee and restaurant customers (both seated and standing) should have a super green vaccinated pass (at least two doses of coronavirus vaccine) while the negative test will no longer apply.

To enter gyms, swimming pools, museums, exhibitions, hot springs, casinos, cultural centers, the “super Green Pass” will be required. Until January 31, clubs and ballrooms will be closed, while the extension of compulsory vaccination to public administration employees is being postponed – at least for the time being.

Italian Interior Minister Roberto Speranza recently told reporters that the measures were approved unanimously by all political forces supporting the government of Mario Draghi. He finally confirmed that the third, booster dose of the vaccine could be given four months after the second dose.
