Italy: Schools will reopen after the Lights, with increased prevention measures

The cabinet of the Draghi government confirmed tonight the reopening of the schools, after the Epiphany holiday, but with the adoption of new protection measures.

More specifically, in kindergartens, even with one case, teaching will be interrupted for ten days.

In elementary school, with only one positive child in the class, the rest of the students will continue the lessons, but by performing diagnostic tests. In two cases, distance learning will be decided for ten days.

In high schools and distance education, distance learning will only be decided if there are three positive cases. With two cases, children who have been vaccinated or treated for the virus in the last four months will stay in the classroom, while the rest will attend classes at home. With a single case, finally, everyone should use masks of increased protection and immediately report the appearance of any “suspicious symptoms”.
