Seven former members of the Italian authorities were arrested in Paris at the request of the Italian authorities terrorist and far-left organizations. The whole operation was carried out by the French anti-terrorist forces in cooperation with the respective Italian service, reports APE.
According to Italian media, the Enzo Calviti, Giovanni Alimondi, Roberta Capelli, Marina Petrela and Sergio Tornagi (former members of the Red Brigades), Giorgio Pietrostefani of the far-left Lotta Continua and Narciso Manedi of the Armed Forces against Local Government. Within the day the competent court will inform them that a request for their extradition has been submitted to Italy.
The Italian newspaper La Repubblica adds that three other former members of Red Brigades (the Luigi Bergamine, Mauricio Di Marzio and Rafaele Ventura) escaped arrest and are wanted.
According to the press, Italy has requested from France the arrest and extradition of a total of two hundred terrorists who have been living in Paris and other French cities for years.
