Italy: Stricter controls on green pass – Restrictions on vaccinators’ mobilizations

The Italian government is going to impose stricter controls on the use of the vaccinated green pass.

Less than a thousand fines have been imposed across the country since mid-October (when the measure came into force). Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgeze announced the intensification of controls, aimed at protecting public health.

At the same time, it is confirmed, as the APE BPE reported yesterday, that the demonstrations of the anti-vaccinators will be strictly limited: the mobilizations should take place in remote parts of the different cities, marches will not be allowed and in case of overcrowding the use of a protective mask will be mandatory and safety distances must be observed. At the same time, demonstrations near sensitive targets, party offices, trade unions and ministries will be banned.

“All the measures we have adopted must remain in force and we must motivate citizens to get vaccinated. We cannot risk being in the difficult position of other European countries,” said Italian Deputy Health Minister Carlo Sibilia.

“Vaccinated citizens who respect the rules are entitled to safe places for their daily lives. We must guarantee the right to mobilize, but there must also be a balance, while respecting the rights to health, work and education,” he said. , the Italian Minister of Interior Luciana Lamorgeze.
