Italy. The center-right and far-right maintain a large lead in voting intention

According to a poll by polling company Swg, conducted for private TV channel La7, Italy’s conservative faction maintains a large lead over the center-left ahead of parliamentary elections on September 25.

The extreme right of the Brothers of Italy “convinces” 24.8% of the respondents, the League is at 12.5%, while 7% of the statistical sample intends to vote for Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia. The small party “We the Moderates”, which always belongs to the center-right, is at 1.6%.

As far as the center-left is concerned, the Democratic Party, at this stage, reaches 22.3% of the voting intention, the Greens and the Italian Left 4% and the “More Europe” party 1.5%. The political force recently founded by the foreign minister, Luigi Di Maio, “Citizens’ Effort”, does not exceed 1.2%.

The Five Stars, at the same time, led by Giuseppe Conte, are at 11.6% and the centrist alliance of Renzi and Calenda, with the so-called “Third Pole”, at 6.8%.

In total, that is, according to the Swg company, the conservative alliance secures 45.9% of the voting intention and the center-left 29%.
