Italy: The child who was stabbed by a bus passenger in Rimini is in serious condition

The child is being treated in a serious condition stabbed a bus passenger in Rimini, Italy.

Saturday night, two female inspectors asked a bus passenger to show them the ticket. The man, who did not have it, took a knife out of his pocket, injured the employees of the urban transport organization and immediately afterwards tried to run away..

Police located the perpetrator – originally from Somalia – but before he could arrest him, he injured three other people, including a woman and a small child, with a knife to the throat.

The perpetrator is of Somali origin and was temporarily residing in a Red Cross reception center.

According to testimonies he was very irritable in his contacts with the other guests and it is not excluded that he had used drugs.

He had recently asked the Italian authorities to grant him political asylum.

Prosecutors, however, continue to rule out any terrorist motives for the time being.
