The newspaper Corriere della Sera published a while ago in its online edition the main program points of the Italian conservative alliance in view of the parliamentary elections of September 25. The alliance, as is known, consists of Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia, the League and the far-right party “Brothers of Italy”.

As reported by the Corriere, the main program points include respecting the commitments made in the context of NATO and the EU, but “with a greater presence of Italy in Europe and Europe in the rest of the world”. Regarding the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan, “the reforms agreed with the European Union will be completed, but efforts will also be made to revise the Plan.”

The Italian conservative faction also undertakes a commitment in favor of the approval of a constitutional reform, which would provide for the direct election of the President of the Republic by the citizens, will promote the reform of the Justice, while promising to complete the reform to strengthen the autonomy of local self-government .

Regarding the capital of the tax system, the specific program foresees tax breaks for employers who will hire new workers, but also a tax scale of 15% for freelancers with a “block”, who do not exceed an annual income of 100,000 euros.

According to Corriere, Forza Italia, the League and the “Brothers of Italy” are committed to reducing the taxes paid by permanent employees and reforming the current “social income” regime for the unemployed, which had been proposed and worked out by Five Stars.

At the same time, the three parties of the Italian conservative front promise to increase support for families (especially young people) and to approve financial aid aimed at combating low birth rates.

In relation to immigration, the Corriere della Sera writes that in the event of an electoral victory for the center-right and far-right (which, according to the polls, have a clear lead in voting intention), a stricter line is to be adopted, “with control of national borders to stop – in cooperation with the North African authorities – human trafficking”.
