The head of tourism and artistic events of the municipality of Rome, Alessandro Honorato, announced a while ago that the concert of the well-known band Maneskinwhich is scheduled for Saturday, July 9 at Rome’s Circo Massimo, it is not going to be postponed.
During yesterday and today, many Italians scientists were in favor of the postponement, due to the continuous increase in cases, and due to the fact that more than 70,000 spectators are expected to attend this particular concert.
“We will take all the precautionary measures indicated by the health authorities and, in cooperation with the organizers, we will do what is necessary for them to be respected”, emphasized Honorato. Many commentators, however, emphasize that it is very difficult – even impossible – to ask the young people who will attend this outdoor concert, to sing and dance, wearing a mask.
The last twenty-four hours, in Italy, 107,786 cases of coronavirus were registered and 72 people died. 28.4% of the diagnostic tests came out positive.
