Itaú informs that balances have been restored, but channels will be released gradually

Itaú reported, on the afternoon of this Thursday (3), that the systems of its application and website have returned to normal. During the day, users reported instability in their accounts, with cash outflows or inflows. However, instabilities can still occur.

In a post on social media, the bank reported that the “systems were reset for payments that could not be made throughout the day.” The publication also informs that “TEDs can be made until 18:15 and Pix until midnight”.

Itaú Unibanco informed that the origin of the problem was related to a delay in the processing of bank data, which generated the need for reprocessing. “Therefore, the cause is unrelated to any external events,” the note said.

This Thursday morning (3), the monitoring site Downdetector recorded a spike in complaints involving Itaú. Most of them (55%) were registered as internet banking operations, and 32%, login to the application.

Instability problems even occupied the “trend topics” of Twitter. In the complaints, users report over-values in their accounts or under-values: “Itaú, where’s my money?”, complained a user on Twitter this morning. “Itaú, I never asked you for anything, don’t take it back (the money), no”, writes another.

With the system working again, the customer receives the warning when starting the bank application.

However, on Thursday night, the bank sent a statement saying that it “regrets the inconvenience” and that the bank statements have been restored. However, he points out that “access via digital channels is being gradually released”.
