Sony appears to be preparing a new service within the PlayStation ecosystem. On the Polish website of the company, a page of the PlayStation Plus Video Pass service appeared for a short time. Now it has already been removed, but the screenshots have been preserved.
The description of the service was quite interesting.
A new benefit available for a limited time on PlayStation Plus. PS Plus Video Pass is a trial service that runs from 04/22/21 to 04/22/22. Subscription benefit available to PS Plus users in Poland
There are two points here. Firstly, the new service is part of the PlayStation Plus subscription, and secondly, for some reason, it is described as a trial service, while valid for a whole year.
The service should have started supposedly today, but there was no new data on this matter yet. Also, the situation with the availability of the service is not yet clear: whether it starts everywhere or, for some reason, only in Poland. As for the essence of the new service, apparently, it is a streaming video service, where content, at least belonging to Sony itself, will be available.
We will remind, earlier on the Web there were rumors that Sony is preparing a full-fledged answer to the Xbox Game Pass. However, later it was reported that it would not be a direct analogue of the Xbox service from the Japanese giant, but some kind of a combined subscription like Apple One. The introduction of the PlayStation Plus Video Pass as part of the PlayStation Plus fits into this concept.
