It’s here! The first preview of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe does not stop! Less than a week after the successful premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the first preview of the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016), Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness.

This film will be directed by Sam Raimi, the person in charge of the trilogy of Spider-Man who starred in Tobey Maguire and who has a lot of experience in the production of horror films (Don’t breathe, Evil Dead, Crawl), which is relevant because it has been said that this installment of Doctor Strange will have horror overtones.

The trailer is here!

The preview shows us Stephen Strange after the events of Spider-Man, who after hearing Wong’s voice warning him not to alter the multiverse, admits that very little is known about it. Additionally, footage is shown of Earth’s reality being altered, with buildings disintegrating and taking shapes that defy logic.

Another exciting aspect is that it is revealed that Strange will ask Wanda Maximoff for help in dealing with the problems of the multiverse. It has long been speculated that Wanda could be the villain of the film due to the turn her character took in the series. WandaVision. However, although we cannot rule out this idea, the trailer reveals something else: it seems that the villain will be Doctor Strange himself. The idea of an “evil” Doctor Strange was already explored in the series What If…?, in which Strange becomes obsessed with the idea of bringing Christine, his girlfriend, back to life.

The surprises continue

If you already went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, surely you have already seen this trailer, since it is the second post-credits scene. Fortunately, it has already been officially released and you can see it as many times as you want.

But the official release of the trailer is not all the new content of the film, as Marvel’s Twitter account also revealed the official poster for the film, which will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
